Terri Cordle, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)

Terri earned her graduate degree in Community Counseling from Georgia State University and her undergraduate degree in psychology from Clemson University. She believes an effective therapist has several roles in the therapeutic relationship: guide, teacher, consultant, and advocate. She aspires to provide a safe, collaborative counseling relationship that promotes self-exploration, learning, and personal growth. Terri believes in the importance of examining both the person’s present situation as well as the contexts in which one has experienced life to render true understanding for change. Her style is collaborative and informed by approaches such as interpersonal, psychodynamic, attachment, polyvagal, EMDR and adaptive information processing, and Internal Family Systems.

Areas of special interest include healing core emotional wounds, EMDR, wellness, and the mind-body connection.

In her free time, Terri enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and being outdoors.

“Healing isn’t linear. But every time we choose understanding over judgment, awareness over avoidance, we move closer to freedom.” - Dr. Kate Truitt
