Terri earned her graduate degree in Community Counseling from Georgia State University and her undergraduate degree in psychology from Clemson University.
She believes an effective counselor has several roles in the therapeutic relationship: guide, teacher, consultant, and advocate. She aspires to provide a safe, collaborative counseling relationship that promote self-exploration, learning, and personal growth. Terri believes in the importance of examining both the person’s present situation as well as the contexts in which one has experienced life to render true understanding. Her style is collaborative and informed by interpersonal, cognitive, psychodynamic, attachment, polyvagal, and Internal Family Systems.
Areas of special interest include family of origin issues, trauma, attachment-informed EMDR, interpersonal dynamics, wellness, and the mind-body connection.
